Here you will find how to setup L2TP/IPsec VPN protocol on Windows 7. Setting up HeadVPN access under Windows 7 is simple. The following instructions go step-by-step through the creation process of a L2TP/IPsec VPN connection.


Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel.
Click on the Network and Internet.
Click on View network status and tasks.
Click Set up a connection or network.
A new window Set up a connection or a network will appear. Click on Connect to a workplace. Then click Next .
Click Use my Internet connection (VPN).
Type the name or IP address of a HeadVPN server ( you will find the available servers list under your Client Area ).
Enter HeadVPN as the name of VPN connection in the destination name box (you can name it as you want). Then click Next.
Enter your HeadVPN username and password for the VPN access. And click Connect.
If you see the message You are connected it means that you have successfully setup the HeadVPN connection.
Click the Close button to return to the Network and Internet screen.
Click on Connect to a network and you will see the HeadVPN connection that you have just set up
Right click on it and select Properties from the menu.
Go to Security tab and on Type of VPN select Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPsec) option. Click on the Advanced Settings… button
Select Use preshared key for authentication and type headvpn into the Key field. Click OK
And once again OK to save the settings

To connect to HeadVPN server double click on the connection icon and press the Connect button.

To disconnect right click on the connection icon and select Disconnect from the menu.
